Expressing myself and the world through the medium of art – that’s what I strive for as an artist.
The specific creative process is a unique situation that encompasses the artist, the medium, and time within the space of the evolving work. A painting is completed when the artist agrees to the material aspect of the work in the context of their internal vision during the creation process. It’s the moment when the painting becomes an autonomous entity.
To avoid delving into the intricacies of my internal thoughts regarding the relationship between art, the artist, and their work, let’s stick to my artistic beings. 😊
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child, I copied random pictures found in books because I found them interesting and wanted to recreate them. Later, as I entered adulthood, I decided to dedicate more time to it. Over the next 10 years, I intensely developed various painting techniques, such as oil, pastel, charcoal drawing, and more. After this period, there was a hiatus in my artistic endeavors for over twenty years.
Exactly one year ago, in January 2023, I decided to try painting again and gave myself twelve months to confirm whether it was a good idea and if I truly wanted it.
We’re now at the beginning of 2024, which means I have successfully verified myself. As a result, I’ve created dozens of works, and I know for sure that painting will stay with me for a long time. 😊
After a brief overview of what I’ve done over the past few months, you’ll notice that the predominant technique is oil, but I also use acrylic, charcoal, and pastel. I should add that I also experiment with the use of architectural concrete either solo or in mixed media techniques. Observers familiar with art will notice that I’m in the process of finding my own style, drawing inspiration from existing motifs and painting techniques. However, I consciously consider all of these as exercises on the path to creating my own artistic language, which I hope will emerge.
The subject matter of the paintings is secondary to me; I focus more on form and artistic expression, often based on improvisation and dynamism in the creative process itself. The essential thing is that all of my works are created in one session, meaning I paint quite quickly. This arises from the need to individualize emotions while simultaneously materializing my ideas in plastic matter. Some intentionality and intellectual assessment of internal consent to artistic expression in the finished painting conclude the session. Once I deem a painting finished, I don’t revisit it or make corrections.
I hope you’ll be interested in following my artistic endeavors and observing them.
I encourage you to browse through what has already been created and what is yet to come.
All new works will be regularly posted on the website.
Enjoy,
